| Heat Sealing, Tapes and Coated Fabrics |
Viadon's Series 9000 tapes are used in a wide variety of applications in manufacturing - PTFE tapes with pressure sensitive adhesives are ideally suited for heat sealing bars, conveyer line chutes, and any other situation where a low co-efficient of friction is needed. Viadon's coated fabrics are often used in harsh food processing situations where a coating that is extremely resistant to abrasion, oils, and liquids (as well as complies with FDA and USDA requirements) is necessary. Heat Sealing Tapes, PTFE
Tapes, PTFE Coated Fabrics, and High Performance Products |
|
V9090 Anti-Static PTFE Fiberglass
Tape
Used to eliminate severe static electricity
problems. Tape provides a quick release surface, with static
dissipation features. Fiberglass provides dimensional stability,
while special inclusions added into PTFE improve electrical
conductivity. Silicone adhesive is available in thicknesses
of 3 Mil, 5 Mil, 6 Mil and 10 Mil.
|
|
|
V9010 Premium Heat-Sealing
PTFE
Glass Cloth Tape with Silicone Adhesive
Premium-grade PTFE impregnated
fiberglass has high percent of PTFE coating. Fiberglass provides dimensional
stability, while extra-heavy coat of PTFE provides quick release surface.
Silicone adhesive has good chemical resistance, removes cleanly, and
is perfect for extreme temperatures from -100° F to 500° F (-73°C
to 260°C). These properties make this tape superb for heat sealing.
Available in thicknesses of 3 Mil, 5 Mil, 6 Mil, 10 Mil, and 14 Mil with
or without liner. |
V9095/6220 Kapton® Polyimide
Film Tape
Provides the highest temperature
performance of our tape line. It also offers superior dielectric strength
and excellent tear and abrasion resistance. Silicone adhesive can withstand
temperatures above 500°F (260°C) and is designed for clean removal.
This product is also available in the Film Tape category as item V6220.
Kapton® Polyimide Film Tape is available in thicknesses of 1.2 Mil
and 5 Mil. We also offer a double-coated version of this tape. |
|
V9020 Standard
Grade Heat Sealing PTFE/Cloth Tape with Silicone Adhesive
Similar to premium grade,
but with a lower percent of PTFE coating, thus affording a cost advantage
over the premium-grade heat sealing tape. Available in thicknesses of
3 Mil, 5 Mil, 6 Mil, and 10 Mil with or without liner. |
V9210 Premium-Grade
Heat Sealing PTFE/Glass Fabric
Extra heavy
coating of PTFE provides superior non-stick surface for high temperature
heat sealing applications. Available in thicknesses of 3 Mil, 5 Mil,
6Mil, 10 Mil and 14 Mil. |
|
V9030 Premium PTFE
PTFE/Glass Cloth Tape with Acrylic Adhesive
Same as Premium Heat-Sealing
PTFE/Glass Cloth Tape with Silicone Adhesive (Item 9010), but acrylic
adhesive operates best in temperature range from -40°F to 375°F
(-4°C to 188°C). The benefit of acrylic adhesives is that they
offer superior weathering and age characteristics, and excellent adhesion
to metal. When exposed to increased temperatures, acrylic adhesives offer
full coverage or "wet out", and better tack levels. Available in thicknesses
of 3 Mil, 5 Mil, 6 Mil, and 10 Mil with or without liner. |
|
V9220 Standard Grade
Heat Sealing PTFE/Glass Fabric
Standard PTFE coating on glass fabric
provides optimum balance of substrate weave, strength, finish,
and coating for high temperature heat sealing applications. This
product offers a cost advantage over the premium-grade tape.
|
|
|
V9040 Standard Grade PTFE
Glass Cloth Tape with Acrylic Adhesive
Comparable to premium grade, but with a cost
advantage, due to lighter PTFE coating. Available in 3 Mil, 5
Mil and 6 Mil, with or without liner. |
|
V9230 Food Belting Grade PTFE Coated
Open Mesh Glass Fabric
This product performs excellently in
harsh line food processing conditions, thanks to a special formulation
of red PTFE coating on glass fabric. The coating
makes this product extremely
resistant to abrasion, oils, and liquids, and complies with FDA and USDA
requirements. This product's other applications include food belting,
baking sheets, and release sheets for cooking food. |
|
V9050 Skived PTFE Film
Pressure-Sensitive Tape
This product is an excellent
choice for insulating coils, transformers, and power cables, and for
a variety of mechanical uses. Mechanical uses include lining chutes,
conveyer systems and guide rails. This product can also be used as a
high temperature tape and gasket material. This product has high dielectric
strength, non-stick surface, high weatherability, conformability, and
chemical inertness. It offers conformability and resists high temperatures.
Available in silicone or acrylic adhesive in thicknesses of 2 Mil, 3
Mil, 5 Mil and 10 Mil. |
|
V9240 Anti-Static Grade
PTFE Coated Glass Fabric
Provides anti-static surface with electrically
conductive characteristics. Black PTFE coating uses carbon or
graphite inclusions. |
|
|
V9060 High Modulus PTFE Film
This product's low elongation and high
tensile strength mean it can be applied to automatic wrapping equipment.
The High-Modulus PTFE Film can also be used in applications where stability,
quick-release surface, good chemical resistance, clean removal, and extreme
temperatures are considerations because it has all the properties of
Premium-Heat Sealing PTFE/Glass Cloth Tape with Silicone Adhesive (Item
V9010). The high temperature silicone adhesive version of this product
is available in thicknesses of 2 Mil, 3 Mil, 5 Mil and 6 Mil. The high
temperature acrylic adhesive version is available in 2 Mil only. |
|
V9250 Porous Grade PTFE
Coated Open Mesh Glass Fabric
Tape porosity enhances drying by allowing
warm air to circulate. Porosity also allows volatile gases to
escape. Porosity ranges from several microns, up to 1/4 inch
(6.33 mm). |
|
|
V9070 UHMW Film
Tape
Offers a definite cost advantage
when anti-sticking and reduced friction are the primary concerns. Its'
excellent anti-sticking, abrasion-resistance, and noise reduction properties
make it ideal for lining chutes, conveyor systems, and guide rails. It
is also a natural for easing surface to surface wear on the bottoms of
chairs and other furniture that are moved by sliding. This product is
less resistant to high temperature extremes than PTFE products. Acrylic
and rubber adhesives available in thicknesses of 3 Mil. 5 Mil, 10 Mil,
and 20 Mil. |
|
V9260 Tear/Crease Resistant Grade PTFE Coated
Glass Fabric
Adding a standard PTFE coating to specially treated glass
fabrics boosts this product's wear and tear resistance. |
|
|
V9080 Rulon® Film
Tape with Silicone Adhesive
Tape's abrasion resistance
is superior to conventional PTFE films. Service temperatures range from
-100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C). During rotating bearings
tests this product provided a 500-fold increase in wear resistance over
standard PTFE. In addition to bearings, this product's applications include
chute and guide rail liners. Available in 8 Mil thickness only. An acrylic
adhesive version is also available. |
V9270 Specialty
Grade Fabrics
These products include custom-designed
materials using fiberglass, Kevlar®, and Nomex® fabrics, with
fluropolymer coating and films. We can supply high performance sealer
belting (e.g. DoBoy, Hayssen, Ami, etc.) with any of the specialty fabrics
grade products. Please call us with your high temperature belting requirements. |
