THERMAL
SPRAY TAPES |
Viadon is the leader in masking tapes for the thermal spray
industry. For applications ranging from grit-blasting and plasma
spray to the special demands of HVOF spray (High Velocity Oxygen
Fuel), Viadon's thermal spray tapes exhibit exceptional thermal
and abrasion resistance while protecting adjacent surfaces
from particle spray . These specialty tapes will not lift off
or fray and are designed to release easily without leaving
an adhesive residue.
All of Viadon's thermal spray tapes come with a silicone-based
pressure sensitive adhesive that performs well in temperatures
as high as 500°F (260°C). Remember, even though a high
temperature plasma spray environment may see the materials combined
at temperatures as high as 2000°F, the spray typically has
cooled to 250°F by the time it reaches the substrate material
(and thermal spray tape mask). Each tape has a unique backing
material that exhibits distinct physical and chemical properties
to meet specific thermal spray needs . Refer to the descriptions
below to see which of Viadon's thermal spray tape solutions
is best for your needs.
